Managing Fingerprints

Machine registration is required to implement device-based licensing. It enables you to restrict the use of your application to only customer machines that are registered with Cloud Connect. During machine registration, the machine identification information, such as fingerprint and host name, are obtained and registered with Cloud Connect. The machine identification information should be unique for a customer. The Manage Fingerprints dialog box enables you to add or remove fingerprints in a Provisioning Container.

To manage fingerprints:

1.Select Provisioning Container. The Provisioning Container page opens.

2.In the Batch Code list, select the Batch Code to which the Provisioning Container belongs.If only one Batch Code is available, the Batch Code is displayed instead of the list.

3.Select a Provisioning Container.

4. Click > Manage Fingerprints. Under the Associate Fingerprints tab, the added fingerprints are displayed.

To remove a fingerprint	Select the fingerprint and click Remove.
To add a fingerprint	1.Click to expand the Add Fingerprint tab. 2.In Friendly Name, enter an alphanumeric identifier for the fingerprint. 3.In Fingerprint Value, do one of the following: •Paste the fingerprint XML. •Click Browse and select a C2V file. 4.Click Add.
