Duplicating a Product

The Copy Product page enables you to define a new Product based on the properties of an existing Product. The Product properties, the Features, their license terms, and the content and layout of the memory data defined for the original Product, are available for you to retain or change as required. However, you cannot change the Protection Type.

To copy a Product:

1. In the Products tab (Catalog > Products), select the Base Product, Modification Product, or Cloud Product from which you want to create a duplicate Product.

2. Click and select Copy. The Copy Product page opens and is similar to Creating a Product. The fields contain data from the source Product.

3.Do one of the following:

•For LDK Products, you must change the Name.

•For Cloud Products, you must change at least one from Name and Version.

4.If you need to change the locking type, you must first remove all the Features from the Product Features list. Then, in the Locking Type list, select the clone protection level for the Product.

5.When you finish defining the Product details, click:

•Save as Draft to save the Product as Draft.

•Save as Complete to save the Product as Complete.

The new Product is displayed in the Products tab.
